The International Folklore Festival 'HORA MARE'

The International Folklore Festival "Hora Mare", organised by the County Culture and Creation Centre through County Cultural Center, it takes place in the Calarasi city, in the heart of Plain of Baragan. Located in the south, separated from neighboring Bulgaria through the old Danube, Calarasi is just 120 km away from Bucharest - Romania's capital and 144 km from Constanta, maritime city, which hosts the largest port on the Black Sea.
Arrived already at the XXVIII edition, the International Festival "Hora Mare" is the most complex event folk from the county, being expected with great pleasure and interest by the public from Calarasi. Because the main objective of the Cultural Center Calarasi County is promotion of culture, the International Folklore Festival "Hora Mare" is used for promote diversity of the international folklore,presenting the public from our country the habits and the richness of different cultures, in the purpose to enhance the intercultural dimension.
