International Folklore Festival “DOINA COVURLUIULUI"

Every year since 2006, the "Dunarea de Jos" Cultural Center of Galati, Romania, held
the International Folklore Festival "Doina Covurluiului". The 15th edition of the festival is
scheduled for 20th-25th of August, 2020.
Since its first edition, the festival was attended by hundreds of artists from over 30 countries
in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Thus, the people of Galati County had the opportunity
to witness the traditions of many nations of the world.
Each year, the "Dunarea de Jos" Cultural Center of Galati is also the organizer of an
international folklore festival for children ("Ca la noi in Covurlui"), thus the International
Folklore Festival "Doina Covurluiului" is open to young and adult artists only (over 16
years old).
The festival is a CIOFF registered member, and its organizers fully comply with the
recommendations of the aforementioned international forum.
