The International Folk Festival "FOLKMONCAO” began in 1986. It takes place in one of the most beautiful regions in Portugal and has as special feature the different places where it is held, giving the groups the opportunity to visit the entire Alto-Minho region and Galicia/Spain, performing in 12 municipalities with welcoming and warm public. Each show has about 4.000 / 5.000 people, and the opening and closing Gala between 10.000/12.000.
